Ladybugs
Ladybugs, particularly the invasive Asian lady beetle, are well-known for their dome-shaped bodies and spotty coloration. While highly beneficial in gardens for controlling aphids, they become a problem in the fall when they seek warm places to overwinter.
They can invade homes in large swarms, gathering around windows and light fixtures. When disturbed or crushed, they emit a foul-smelling yellow fluid that can stain walls, fabrics, and furniture.
Eastline Pest Management offers preventative fall treatments to create a barrier that deters ladybugs from entering your home, keeping them outside where they are beneficial.
